DISB applies rules, also known as regulations, to implement laws under its jurisdiction. Rules are designed to implement, interpret, or prescribe law or policy or to describe the organization, procedure, or practice requirements of the Mayor or of any agency. The District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR) is a compilation of DC rules published by the Office of Documents and Administrative Issuances.
